Web 2.0 applications

Web 2.0 has transformed the way people are using the internet. It has allowed for a more engaging experience as students can benefit from the quirks it provides. In the past, people have been forced to rely on only written material on the web. However, recently with the guidance of Web 2.0, it gives us the opportunity to read and respond in a written fashion that brings about more significance. Some examples of this include wiki, voicetread, and facebook or other social networks. All of these tools provide more efficiency. Students get a chance to participate in live discussions with other people that are not necesarrily in the same room or building as they are. They get to view multiple perspectives of any given objective, and thus expands the amount of knowledge they retain. These tools that web 2.0 offers will have a tremendous impact on the classrooms of children because it will further prepare them for a future that has become heavily reliant on the technology surrounding it.
